About Soccer Kids
Soccer Kids is a non-competitive program with the focus being on fun. The season is 8 weeks long. Each 30-minute session is designed to engage the child with age-appropriate soccer lessons that will help build physical, cognitive, social and communication development. Every week we learn a new skill and learn a new positive word that will be used in the lesson.
2/3 year old children
If this is your child's first time in an organized session or sport/soccer I am not expecting them to stay engaged the full 30 minutes, it's fine if they use their hands or roll around a little! The development and confidence will come naturally by seeing other children participate and by having fun. You're also more than welcome to join in (especially with the younger children) to help with the enjoyment of the experience.
Soccer Kids is a positive and fun introduction into sport and being active. I hope to be a positive role model and coach, so they learn to take direction and build their physical, social, cognitive and communication development.
4/5 year old children
This may or may not be your child's first soccer experience but whether it is or not, the program will help the development and enjoyment of soccer for your child - they will meet new friends, practice and learn new skills and if they love soccer, sports or not, I'm sure they will come out of the session having learned something new and had a great time.
What you need to bring?
Your child does not need cleats or shin guards, comfortable clothing and sneakers are fine. They are welcome to wear them if they want, but it not essential. I provide all of the balls and equipment and water too, but feel free to bring your own drink.
